Normal vs Minimal IL vs Undersize

Difference between Normal setting, Undersize setting & Minimal IL setting at Duty Finder:

Normal:

– After you register, if you are solo, or the PT doesn’t fully met the number of member required, a Matchmaking will began to fill up the required PT seats.

– Your level and IL will be partially synced (*1) to the Duty’s required level & IL.

– Exp (If provided) will be earned within Duty, together with loots, gils, tomestones, quest requirement, etc…

– After the Duty is cleared, you can give 1 player in the party a commendation.

Players cannot give commendations if they are in pre-made parties, nor to the player who was in PT while register the Duty.

In other words, you can give the commendation to the player who is in PT by matchmaking, and you might receive commendation from them too.

Commendation should be given to the most helpful, greatest contributing or most valuable player in the party.

Undersize:

– As long as level and IL is above the requirement, you can register and immediately starts the duty, no matter the number of your PT members.

– Your level and IL will not be synced. You will be able to play the Duty with your current level and IL.

– EXP will not be earned. However rewards beside Exp will be obtained. (Loots, Gils, Tomestones, quest requirement, etc…

– Some achievements(1) will not be earn through Undersize.

Minimal IL:

– You must form a PT that completely meet the requirement to register the Duty. Matchmaking cannot be done.

– Player’s level and IL will be completely sync down to the Duty’s level & IL minimum requirement.

– Exp (If provided) will be earned within Duty, together with loots, gils, tomestones, quest requirement, etc…

– Clearing the Duty in Minimal IL is required for some achievements(*2) .

—————–

(*1) Level and IL will not be completely sync down to the Duty’s level & IL requirement. Sastasya is level 15, your level will be forced down to level 17.

Let’s take FATE as example.

There’s a FATE which labelled [level 25] in Thanalan.

If you are level 40, which means very high level, there is a button up there [Level Sync] to turn down your level.

When u press the level sync button, your level isn’t actually sync down to 25. It will be level 27 or 28.

You will be a bit stronger than the requirement, it makes you clear the FATE more easily.

This is because reasonablely, you had spend time to level up ur character, u should be able to clear low level battle easily, right?

It happens the same way in Duty finder, normal setting.

—————–

(*2) Requirements are written on the description of the achievements. If it doesn’t show “Cannot Undersize” means can Undersize. If Minimal IL is a must, it will be in the description.
